I'm blathering on about category romances at Romancing the Blog today. I wrote the column and then realized that a lot of the people who frequent RtB are category writers. I hope no one takes it the wrong way. I think I was tactful.
So come tell us why you read categories. Or not.

I just got to the column - I'm always late!
Anyways, wanted to say that years ago I used to buy one book from each line to see if they were any good. HP have no sex so over the shoulder they went ;) Back then it was Silhouette Desire and Intimate Moments that I found very sexy. I was surprised at how hot these books could be.
Today, I don't buy them anymore. I have tried some of the favs and I can't find the love. I think I will try again though but then I remember the TBR pile and think better of it. Thing is, if they are just romance then I should be looking at them.
Also, I have never met a Blaze title that didn't suck. (just in case you wanted to know) I haven't read their Nocturne line although I love their Shadows line from before and I was very blue when they nixed it.
And some of those Loveswepts, YUM. Another blue moment in publishing. I swear they had heavy hitters on their list of authors! (Janet Evanovich, Suzanne Brockmann, I think SEP got her start there also.)
So if you ever want to try some of the older ones to see what the fuss is about let me and Kristie and them know and we'll make you a list of some you could try tracking down.
