I love Bloglines! I hate Bloglines!

So, lots of you use Bloglines, right? I do too and I'm having trouble here. I was scrolling through today and realized that Marg and Cindy hadn't posted in forever, and they're usually really regular about posting. So I went to their sites, and they had a bunch of posts that I hadn't seen! Who knows what else I'm missing! :) What's the deal?

Actually I think it might be because they switched to Beta blogger? But then Ames switched and her posts still show up. I don't get it. Anyone have any suggestions? Maybe if I delete them and then add them again. I'm clueless about this stuff. Still don't really get what an RSS feed is.

I don't use bloglines but I do use Snarfer, and some blogspot blogs HAVE to have the /atom.xml at the end while others don't. You could try modifying the address like that. Since I'm not entirely sure which blog you're referring to, I can't point to the exact feed address that works, sorry!

That sometimes happens to me, but after a few days I just get all the new posts together. With the people changing to Beta, what I'm getting is I suddenly have like 30 of their older posts marked as new. Weird.

I've been meaning to try the new google reader, but I'm being lazy. It's probably good, as everything google seems to be, lol!

I think that there are some feed errors, but I don't think it is related to changing over...just one of those things!

As Rosario said sometimes it sends through whole groups of posts!! Today I had 400 feeds! It's gonna take me all day to get through them!! LOL!!

I haven't done bloglines, I try and go through my entire sidebar once a day. I was telling Kristie when she was here that I start on the top one day and then go up from the bottom the next day. Then I realized I had missed a bunch in the middle because I wasn't getting through entire list lately.

Then I have a bunch of blogs on my favorites list that I haven't had a chance to add to my template (okay, adding blogs is tough for my lazy ass).

Maybe I should sign up for bloglines.

Hey, I have a weekend project now ;)

Dang, meant to say I don't have a clue about RSS feeds either except I think it changes your post into text only so that people can download your post onto their Blackberry or something like that. Course I could be soooo wrong and RSS feed will turn out to be a special brand of bird seed fed only to peach coloured canaries.

See? Helpful again. You're welcome ;)

Cindy, you should sign up! Most of the time it saves you time because you actually only look at the blogs where you know there has been an update! Of course, that's when it's working. Then again bloglines has given me about 75 feeds today on my blog, and I certainly haven't posted that many times, so I think that it might have fixed itself now!

The only downside to Bloglines is that it makes it really, really easy to accumulate more and more and more links!

I don't use bloglines. So maybe it is because we are using beta blogger.

Angela--Thanks, I resubscribed to the links that had /axiom thingie. So I hope that will help.

Rosario--I want to try google reader too. But it is a lot of bother to set it all up. Maybe someone should try it out and then let us know how it is. Hmm, who could be a brave volunteer...

Marg--Yeah, I don't get it. The ways of the internet are strange! LOL.

Cindy & Ames--You should try bloglines. Much as I complain, Marg is right, it does save a lot of time because you don't have to load a page unless you know there's something new to read. Which is good for people like me who post so irregularly! special brand of bird seed fed only to peach coloured canaries LMAO! Yes, that's definitely what an RSS feed is.

I'd never heard of it before ~ I may have to check it out. I'm like Cindy, I'll either start at the top or bottom of my list of favorites and work my way through.

You know more than me...what's a blogline?

Dylan, bloglines is a site where you enter all the blogs you read and it lists them. Then you can go to that one site and see which of your blogs has new posts. It saves time cuz then you don't have to load a blog page only to find out they haven't posted anything new.

go to bloglines.com and check it out. I like it.
