Twin and I are scrambling to get on the road -- we're headed to VA to spend Christmas with the family. YAY! But first I must post some pictures of the gingerbread village we made this year (it's becoming a tradition with us).
Town hall.
Shops. Grocer in the middle, barber shop on the end.
This is obviously some kind of posh shop. Dressmakers, maybe.
Townhouses opposite the shops.
Church in the corner of the square. Ice cream cone steeple was a bit tricky.
Beyond the square, there is a lake and my estate--hee hee. It looks sort of like a little farm house.
Minty little house.
Yes, we are a little crazy. But it was all good fun. :)
May you all have a very joyful holiday!

You and twin must spend hours doing those!! They are wonderful. And I almost feel bad asking this - but do you eat them when Christmas is over *g*?
That is so darn cute. It must take you hours. You girls are so creative, I'm quite impressed.
How amazing! I feel like a total slacker for buying one of those prefab gingerbread house kits :)
You guys should write a book on how to do 'Holiday Villages' cause I don't see a lot of ginger bread and since I don't like ginger bread your village looks very YUMMY!!
Merry Christmas to you, twin and family!

Merry belated Christmas!!
Love your gingerbread town :) and megan is absolutely right, you and twin rock!! (so do you have to eat it afterwards?)
Thanks everyone! And no, we don't actually end up eating any of the village. Once it sits around for a few days, it gets pretty gross -- the chewy candy gets hard and the crispy candy gets soggy. Eh. But we did eat plenty of candy while we were building it. ;)
