The sooner the better, of course, but I was kind of hoping it would come out while I was in England. I want to go to one of those parties and wear a costume! If I do that here in Uruguay, they'll probably come at me with straighjackets!
Wooooooo hoooooooo! Can't wait!!
Rosario--Don't you have Harry Potter in Spanish down there? But then I guess the translations come out later, don't they? It would be fun to be in England on the pub date. For the last two books I've gone to a bookstore and gotten a copy at midnight and it is really fun to be out with all the fans. Everyone gets so excited. When Harry Potter 5 came out, I went with a bunch of friends to the Toys 'R Us at Times Square because the guy who does the audio books was doing a reading at midnight. But the line to get in went for blocks and blocks, so we gave up and went to a regular bookstore. There were some seriously hard-core fans there!Julie--We'll have to stock up on snacks and burrow in for the weekend. Yay!
Yes, the Spanish translations takes months and months longer. We do get the English version on the day of the release, though. At least, we did for the last one, and I imagine they'll be doing the same for this one. The thing is, all you do is go to the store and pick up your copy. No party, no costumes, no nothing. How boring is that?
